Welcome to the annual U20 Poetry Slam Championship!
It is with great anticipation that we welcome you to the international, German-speaking U20 Poetry Slam Championship in Berlin!
In 2024, Berlin will become the capital of the word competition.
From October 2 to 6, the 60 greatest German-speaking talents of poetry slam under the age of 20 will come to the Grips Theater to determine their champions.
Captivating moments of word and speech artistry await us.
The rules are simple: 6 minutes time limit, no props and only self-written texts. Otherwise, there are no limits for the poets.
The audience will judge the texts and determine the five best poets, who will go through to two semi-finals and from there to the final. In each of the six preliminary rounds, 10 poets who qualified for these championships last year will compete against each other.
