Fabian Schrader has been a theatre pedagogue at GRIPS Theater since the 2019|2020 season. For ten years now, he has been doing educational work, helping to strengthen participation structures and supporting people in their self-organisation.
He originally studied political science and linguistics and this is how he understands his educational claim: as political education from the start, which enables people to articulate their interests in various ways, to negotiate, demand and implement them. To this end, he helped design various educational seminars throughout Germany, organised large youth participation conferences and developed biographical educational materials. He completed his training as a theatre pedagogue BuT in February 2019 at the Otto-Suhr-Volkshochschule Neukölln. Another groundbreaking educational experience was a three-module advanced training course in the anti-bias approach, which forms the basis of his anti-discrimination work. LGBT* rights, which not only create visibility but also security, are a political issue at the heart of him.
