Henriette Festerling

Henriette grew up in Bremen, spending most of her youth at the local theatre club, Junge Akteur:innen. After High School she worked as assistant director. 

Henriette received her BA in International Relations from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands, and a MA degree in International Dramaturgy at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) in 2022, where she also taught at the department Theatre Studies. In Amsterdam, she works as a freelance dramaturg and translator, often in collaboration with the Theater for Young Audiences, De Toneelmakerij. Her work attends to questions around acts of participation, care work in rehearsal processes and dramaturgies of spectatorship. 

Henriette joined the dramaturgy department at GRIPS Theater beginning of 2024.
