born in 1983 in Berlin-Kreuzberg and since 2008 a regular author/columnist for magazines and newspapers such as TAZ, Die Zeit, VICE, Das Wetter and many more. In 2011, Juri Sternburg won the Stückemarkt at the Berlin Theatertreffen with his theater debut >>der penner ist jetzt schon wieder woanders<<. Since then, he has written various plays, radio plays and non-fiction books - including the two SPIEGEL bestsellers >>Germania<< and >>King of Rap<<. His works for the theater have been performed at the Thalia Theater Hamburg, the Deutsches Theater in Berlin, the Volkstheater Rostock and the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, among others, followed by guest performances in Boston, Copenhagen and Prague.
Since 2020, he has also been working as a screenwriter and has developed ASBEST, the most successful series in the ARD media library to date. The series written by Sternburg (together with David and Sarah Hadda), Die Zweiflers. celebrated its world premiere at the series festival in Cannes in April 2024 and was awarded several prizes there, including >>Best Series<<.
