Manuel Ostwald

Manuel Ostwald was born in Hamburg in 1993 and studied screenwriting at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg from 2015-2020, during which time he spent a semester abroad at the Paris film school La Fémis. Alongside his screenwriting studies, he completed the Academy for Children's Media scholarship. He received the 2021 Berlin Children's Theater Award for his play “Die Blauen Engel”. The animated film “Die allerlangweiligste Oma auf der ganzen Welt”, for which he wrote the screenplay, premiered at the 2022 Berlinale in the “Generation” section. He lives and works in Hamburg.
