Sarah Nemitz

Sarah Nemitz grew up in Cologne as the daughter of the painter Otto Nemitz and his wife Josefine (née Terbuyken). There she studied dance at the Institute for Stage Dance, followed by German studies, philosophy and art history, before devoting herself to her acting career.

She worked as an actress at the Rheinisches Landestheater Neuss from 1989 to 1993, during which time she was awarded the prize for best young actress at the Theatertreffen NRW. It was there that she met Lutz Hübner, her future husband, who was also part of the acting ensemble. This was followed by engagements at the Theater der Landeshauptstadt Magdeburg and Theater Bielefeld, among others, as well as engagements in film and television productions, such as Rosenstraße and Jahrestage von Margarethe von Trotta.
