An unusually humorous encounter on the subject of homelessness
“Solutions for all situations!” is the headline of a charming motivational coach who enchants the children in the audience as a clever mouse. He casually shakes out tricks that were up his sleeve, when his show is suddenly disrupted by a special woman: She is homeless and has secretly slept in the theatre. What the stage is for Mr. Mouse is the safest hiding place for her. What should be done? Either the coach shares the theatre with this unpredictable person or he banishes her back to the streets. The homeless woman not only upsets the performance on stage, but above all the idea that the coach and the audience had of life until then.
“Aus die Maus” is the story of an unusual encounter that leads the audience to dare a respectful second look at people who are also homeless, but above all people and with very different stories. Together, Nadja Sieger and Georg Piller question the common prejudices about homelessness without trivialising them, and with a lot of childlike courage develop a humorous perspective on a serious topic.
